The revamping of anaerobic digestion plants

The revamping of an existing plant consists of a preliminary analysis phase, focused on identifying main critical points and plant issues. This is followed by a design, modification and intervention phase which aims to increase plant productivity and energy efficiency, through integrating the original project with state-of-the-art solutions, thus resolving project and technological limitations.

Specifically, revamping may also render the plant suitable for the treatment of biomasses that are different than the ones foreseen in the original project, thus increasing the variety of processable matrices.
