The project is about the demolition and reconstruction of a rural building. It was decided to build the new home in wood using Xlam technology, for environmental sustainability and energy performance reasons. The excellent performance of the enclosure both during the winter and summer have enabled considerable savings in terms of consumption, energy and Co2 emissions.
Insulated single-blocks and thermal cut pallets were used for window fixtures.
Given the low enclosure dispersion, plant design was oriented towards an extremely high efficiency system combining controlled mandatory ventilation (CMV) and heat pump, integrated by a system of solar collectors for dhw production, all combined with a underfloor heating system.
