The company shall present its new product ARDU-FERM, the low-cost fermenter for laboratories and managers of im RES shall attend Ecomondo, an international fair focused no the Green and Circular Economy in the Euro-Mediterranean area which shall take place in Rimini from the 3rd to 6th November 2015. The company shall be hosted at stand 023 by LabService Analytica (pavilion C1), where ARDU-FERM shall be presented: a low-cost fermenter, compact and simple to use, conceived, designed and built using the skills RES has acquired and developed in the construction of specific analytic equipment for the biogas sector as well as the management of biomethanation tests conducted in its own lab for third parties.

With ARDU-FERM it is possible to carry out reliable and complete biomethanation tests, in order to determine the methane-generating potential of organic by-products and biomasses. The fermenter is characterised by value for money and has been fitted with an automatic control and sensor system, for the autonomous management of:

  • Thermostatation and mixing
  • Acquisition, data logging and sending via FTP of process data
  • Measurement of gas volume produced
  • Lack of power, through Energy Backup

The device is also equipped with a web interface which is accessible both via LAN and remotely, for the management of machines and tests under way.

The machine can be supplied with the BIOGAS 5000 analyser model, for biogas composition analysis in terms of CH4, CO2, O2, H2S.

The reactor, in AISI 304 steel, has a volume of approximately 6 litres, much greater than similar equipment commonly used in laboratories. This provides the added advantage of analysing more representative biomass samples, as in the case of fibrous material or material containing course bodies, no fine shredding procedures are required, meaning that biomass can be tested under conditions in which it would be used in a full scale plant.
